Experience a Traditional Japanese Festival

You can see the entrances of houses decorated with "monkey masks" here in Fukuoka. This is a superstition about dramatic events such as "leaving a disaster", or "becoming lucky." The masks can be purchased at Sarutahiko-shrine, in Fujisaki, Sawara-ku, Fukuoka-shi, on a specified day. Many people line up to buy it at 5:00am.
