Starting in September

Come experience the fun and excitement of “Houjouya”, one of the biggest festivals in Kyushu, September 12th to 18th. A service is held for all living things and to give thanks for the harvest season. About 700 food and entertainment stalls line the front entrance of the “Hakozaki shrine”. They stay open until late into the night, and there are many people all the time. Let’s pay a visit to the shrine and enjoy the festivities!
