Three hours of paddle and surf education with cruising alongside Fukuma Beach

We offer a weekly SUP experience every Thursday afternoon. Learn how to do SUP (Stand Up Paddling), catch waves with your board and explore the beautiful area of Fukuma, north of Fukuoka.

We meet at 1 p.m. at Asahi Nihongo and take you to Fukuma with our School Car. Participants who do not require a transfer can go to Fukuma directly. After arriving at the beach, you will meet your instructor and pick your equipment. First, you will receive basic safety instructions and do warm-up exercises.
Thereafter, we will paddle a distance of about 1.6 km from Fukuma to Tsuyazaki. The instructor will be with the group the whole time and take pictures. You will have a beautiful view of the scenery: the beach, houses, the ocean, mountains. After paddling around a small artificial island, we will try to catch some waves on the way back. Finally, after everyone is ready to leave, we will go back to Fukuoka and arrive at about 6:30 p.m. If you want to know how much fun SUP can be, we definitely recommend you to have a look at our photo gallery.

Outline:
– Location at Fukuma, Fukutsu
– Every Thursday from 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (three hours of SUP)
– Event season from April to October (event depends on weather conditions and will be postponed if necessary)
– No SUP experience needed
– Event fee 5,000 Yen (Asahi Nihongo students 4,000 Yen)
– Fee includes services and necessary gear and like life jacket, paddles, boards, warm water shower, Photo CD, etc.
– Fee does not include supplement services like wetsuit, sun lotion, food, drinks, etc.
– One-way transfer 1,000 Yen (can be split among participants)

Schedule (every Thursday):
13:00 – Meeting at Asahi Nihongo
~14:00 – Arrival at Fukuma and preparation
14:15 – Experience
17:30 – Departure
~18:30 – Arrival at Fukuoka

Conditions:
– At least two participants
– Minimum age of 12 years (accompanied by parent)
– Being able to swim, healthy state
