1. Application and completion of contract
The application date is based on the date we receive the filled out application form, not the date on which applicants send it.
2. Application Conditions
(1) Minimum age for the Japanese course is 16 years. Applicants under the age of 18 are required to send a signed parental agreement form.
(2) Minimum age for the internship program is 18 years old.
3. Expenses
(1) Expenses included in the Japanese course fee:
・Materials
・Lesson fee
・Tandem registration fee
・Tutorial
・ID card
・Certificate
・Lunch on the orientation date
(2) Expenses included in the internship fee:
・Internship commission fee (one-time)
・Instruction for the interview
・Lunch on the orientation date
・Tandem registration fee
・Tutorial
・ID card
・Certificate (Internship duration over 3 weeks)
4. Discount
For returning customers, i.e. students coming back to Japan after having returned to their home country, we grant a discount on the total fee of 10%. This does not include first-time students extending their course.
We will also give an introduction discount of 10% after confirming the name of the friend who recommended our school.
5. Payment
The payment has to be made 100% in advance and received one month prior to arrival. We accept bank transfers and Paypal only. We accept cash only when you pay directly at the school.
6. Cancellation and refund policy

If a student cancels after receipt of payment, we will charge a cancellation fee according to the chart above. The bank charge for refunds will also be deducted from the refund amount. We cannot refund payments under any circumstances after a course has started.
7. Change of Arrangement Charge
If a student requests to change their Japanese course, internship, and/or accommodation due to personal reasons, we will try our best to meet the student’s request. In these cases, we will charge an adjustment fee.

8. Course Contract Cancellation
In case we are unable to confirm a student’s payment one month prior to their arrival and after sending a reminder, we will cancel the contract.
9. Disclaimer
We bear no responsibility for following matters:
(1) If a student cannot get a passport, visa, or is refused by Japanese immigration for whatever reason.
(2) If a student cannot get their visa in time or cannot extend it after their arrival.
(3) If there is an act of nature or men (e.g. earthquake or terrorism) compromising students’ safety and preventing courses from proceeding or students from attending.
(4) We accept no responsibility for accidents or trouble during a student’s stay in Japan outside of school.
(5) If a student causes any damage at their internship or accommodation, the student is responsible for the cost of damage. Also, if the school’s reputation or facilities are damaged because of the student, we will claim damages against said student.
10. Visa
We cannot guarantee the acceptance of your visa by the Japanese authority and thus bear no responsibility for visa obtainment. To apply for our internship program, students must send a copy of their passport and visa with their application. If a student plans to extend their visa during their stay in Japan, the student must check the procedure in advance. If a student cannot extend their visa and is therefore unable to finish their course, we will not refund the course fee.
11. Internships
Internship placement is confirmed after an interview, which takes place after the student’s arrival. Interns attend orientationand training during their first week and write an internship report every Friday. Interns need to submit reports and a thank you letter to their company to receive the certificate of internship.
12. Arrival and Transportation
If you arrive on a Sunday or National holiday without having booked a transportation service, we may not be able
to assist you with problems since the school is closed. In this case, please use a taxi and show the driver the address of your accommodation to get there. Otherwise, if you get lost and our staff must come and bring you to your accommodation, we have to charge a fee of 5,000 Yen.
13. Orientation
Every student and intern attends orientation on their first day. If you are a returning customer, you have the
option whether to join our city tour or not. Lessons will start the next day.
14. Group lessons
In case you do not have a classmate, even if you have booked group lessons, we will change your course to
private lessons.
・ Standard Course 20 = 15 private lessons
・ Intensive Course 30 = 25 private lessons
15. Holidays
The school is closed on Saturday, Sunday and national holidays. Also, we do not refund any lessons that got canceled due to natural disasters occurring during the course.
16. Course starting date
Course start dates are based on our school calendar.
For a student to arrange a different start date, they must:
(1) Take a level check test before their arrival and pass with an acceptable score.
(2) Take a private course until the group course starts.
17. Changes to terms and conditions
These terms and conditions can change without notice.
18. Effective date
These terms and conditions shall commence on September 1, 2010.
