Yesterday, the students of Asahi Nihongo studied a topic that is mandatory if you plan to master the Japanese language: Kanji.

The topic of this Kanji lesson was “family”, including parents and siblings. Kuriyama Sensei drew them on the whiteboard while explaining the right stroke order and the different endings a single stroke can have, including fading out, sudden stops and hook-like endings.
The students were given practice sheets to fill the Kanji in while Kuriyama Sensei walked around and checked on the students technique.

Everybody learned a lot and the students handwriting got a lot more refined!
